The Joy of Gratitude:

November Reflections with Aurora Network

Hey Beautiful Aurora Network Community,

November is here, and that means pumpkin spice everything, cozy sweaters, and the perfect excuse to pause and count our blessings. As the leaves turn and Thanksgiving approaches, let’s lean into the spirit of gratitude—because when we focus on what we’re thankful for, everything feels a little lighter (and a lot more fun!).

Gratitude: The Ultimate Game-Changer

Let’s be honest—life can get busy and a bit overwhelming. But, when we focus less on what’s overwhelming and more on what’s good, the landscape shifts. Gratitude is like a superpower for your soul! It’s true! When we practice gratitude, we change our perspective, boost our joy, and strengthen our faith. As 1 Thessalonians 5:18 encourages us, “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

This month, we challenge you to start a “Gratitude Journal”—jot down three things you’re thankful for every day. Big or small, silly or sacred, every blessing counts. (Bonus points if you share your list with a friend or tag us on social media!)

Fun Ways to Celebrate Thankfulness

  • Gratitude Scavenger Hunt: Make a list of things that bring you joy and see how many you can find in a day—hot coffee, a kind word, a favorite song, or a moment of quiet.

  • Thankful Shout-Outs: Send a quick text or voice note to someone who’s made a difference in your life. Let’s start a ripple of encouragement!

  • Family Gratitude Jar: Set out a jar and invite everyone to add notes about what they’re grateful for. Read them together at Thanksgiving dinner for a heartwarming celebration.
